About this assignment

We need someone who can relate well to cats, and has a little experien experience with cat sitting. Other than that, there is ordinary housekeeping to do, which is general cleaning, dusting etc.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We are looking for someone who can do a little house/pet sitting in August: the actual need for CAT sitting is for the two central weeks of august, when we won't be in the house very often, but of course you're welcome to spend more time with us during the whole month!
W have two cats, Pinky and Pina.
Pinky is 4 years old and is a very self reliant cat, he likes going outside and hang out in the garden mainly at night and just needs to be recalled inside in the morning (he will be waiting forsomeone to open the door at about 7am). He occasionally goes out in the afternoons too, but not when it's very hot outside. He's fed a diet for overweight cats, as we try to keep him fit. He's the most active of the two.
Pina is almost 10 years old, suffers of rnal failure, and is on a strict renal diet. She needs to be fed regularly and often during the day, needs to have fresh water available all the time, and she NEVER goes out of the house. She is very sweet and calm, but she needs to be attended according to her medical protocol.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our apartmet is very spacious, has a guest room with attached bathroom, is located in a green area of the town, well connected to the city center.
Suggestions on how to enjoy your stay:

Padova is very well connected: the train station has frequent direct connections to Venice (about 25 minutes), Vicenza, and Verona, making day trips easy and affordable. The historic center itself is compact and easily explored on foot or by bike — we're happy to lend a bike for getting around. For weekend adventures, the Asiago Plateau and the Dolomites are within reach by car, offering hiking in summer and skiing in winter, along with historic WWI sites. Padova's university atmosphere also means plenty of bars, live music, and events, especially in the areas near the university and Prato della Valle.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We won't be in the house during the period, except maybe for a couple of days. The person should come at least a few days in advance, so to familiarize with the cat's medical protocol. The house is large and spatious, well equipped, we just ask not to use AC 24/7 and to mind switching off the lights when going out, to contain the energy costs.
