About this assignment

We are looking for a responsible, mature person to care for our home. We are heading off for a 3-week road trip to visit family. Our gardens are fairly extensive. and we do not have any pets (usually we do but...). Looking to share our tidy, well-maintained property with the right person for our mutual benefit.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We are looking for someone to keep an eye on our place and do some watering of a few houseplants, a few outside container plants, and the gardens (when it doesn't rain). We have a vegetable garden that should have some delicious produce for you to enjoy, Normal housekeeping, trash put out, all of that sort of thing of course.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our place is beautiful! We are a 20 minute drive from Newport, 10 minutes from a beach with body surfing, and just a walk or bike to the local river! Rhode Island is so pretty in the fall. You'll be staying in our modern, clean and petite guest cottage. The property is on the edge of 97 acres of state land. One one side we have nice neighbors with horses and dogs, so we'd need a person who is quiet and steady.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We are looking forward to your email saying why this house sitting assignment is for you. Then we would like to meet (video ok) before finalizing an arrangement. Smoking is a not acceptable.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
