Victorian home with pets in quiet, leafy neighborhood in the city

About this assignment

Looking for a responsible person who loves old houses, and snuggling with 3 cats and one sweet goldendoodle dog. Single or couple are welcome. Currently looking for Sep 14-22 and Oct 21 - Nov 4. House is on 3 levels with stairs at front and back entrances, so need to be comfortable with stairs.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Daily feeding and water for 1 dog and 3 cats; cleaning litter box in basement; 2-3 daily walks for the dog; and snuggles for all. Dog is 11 and can be left alone for up to 8 hours, but prefers to be close to his humans. Cats can be left along for 2 days with extra food and water provided. Bring in mail and packages daily. Take out garbage and recycling to bins in the alley. Water plants. Snow removal and lawn mowing are provided by contract services, so sitters don't need to worry about doing those things.

What are the good features of the property and location

House is a historic (1902) Victorian in a beautiful, quiet, green neighborhood right in the city of St. Paul. Restaurants and coffee shops are 2 blocks away, and grocery store is a short bus ride or drive. Crocus Hill is a peaceful, walkable neighborhood in a city bursting with cultural activities, great restaurants, and easy access to outdoor recreational opportunities - lakes, trails, and rivers. House has a fireplace in the main living room, and is cozy - full of books and art. 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths on 2nd floor. 2 laundries - small one on 2nd floor, and larger in basement. Car provided with garage on property. On street parking also available.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Fall is beautiful in Minnesota, and weather can be variable. Driving is not essential, but may be desirable to fully enjoy the Twin Cities.
