About this assignment

We are looking for a meticulous, reliable, and strictly non-smoking person who values a high-quality lifestyle, cleanliness, and aesthetics. You should enjoy a quiet village setting, be responsible with a pristine all-wood home, and appreciate a calm environment while taking good care of our compact property between mid-May and early August (dates/duration are flexible and do not need to cover the entire period).

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Your responsibilities will include light upkeep of our small, tidy garden (weeding and watering) to keep it looking pristine, as well as routine house sitting duties like mail collection, indoor plant care, and general property supervision of our cozy 80 square meter home. Optionally, if you have a knack for it, you are welcome to help us extend our gravel area to create a cozy seating spot, though this is entirely voluntary.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is a beautifully designed all-wood architectural gem offering a healthy indoor climate and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. Located in a quiet village just 5 minutes from shopping, it is a fantastic base for outdoor lovers: first-class hiking and biking trails (like Flumserberg) and thermal baths in Bad Ragaz are nearby, and Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Austria are all reachable within 20 minutes.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Please note that our home is strictly non-smoking. Since our dog will be traveling with us, there are no pets on site during your stay. The assignment duration between mid-May and early August is flexible and does not have to be continuous, leaving you plenty of freedom to enjoy the stunning surrounding region at your own pace.
