About this assignment

Someone who will care for the dogs well being and make sure he is healthy, safe, and relatively happy. Be aware of dog body language, both his and other dogs. Be willing to communicate with a stranger if on a walk and be willing to communicate with us. Be interested in the dog and love him.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To feed the dog breakfast and take him on on a morning walk or short break. To take the dog on one walk or dog park a day and spend thirty minutes petting him. Give him dinner and take him for last potty break after 8pm. Not leave him home alone for longer than 8 hours. Keep an eye on his ears for irritation and clean if necessary. Communicate with us if you are concerned about anything health wise. Provide an update at least once a day.

What are the good features of the property and location

The apartment is a on a quiet street, five minute walk from the dog park and has a back yard. It is a 15 minute drive to the Norfolk Beaches. It is very close to the navy base and 10 minute drive to the cute artsy downtown area. There are lots of trails and waterfront property and parks around. It is 45 minute drive to VA Beaches.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

That the apartment in a triplex so while I haven't seen it, it is possible our neighbor uses the backyard. Most parking is street parking. The dog park happens to be very friendly. Luke is used to following humans around everywhere but won't be anxious being left alone.
