About this assignment

A reliable, cat-friendly sitter to look after our sweet 11-month-old indoor cat. We're actually away twice: first a short weekend trip on 4-6 September (Friday morning to Sunday evening), and then a longer trip from 21 September (Monday) to 2 October (Friday). You can either visit twice daily to feed him, or stay in our apartment if you prefer, both options work for us. You're welcome to apply for one or both dates.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding the cat twice a day, providing fresh water, and cleaning the litter tray. He's an easy, low-maintenance cat: shy and gentle, never aggressive. Most importantly, he is strictly an indoor cat, doors and windows must never be left open.

What are the good features of the property and location

A two-bedroom, fourth-floor apartment in Larnaca with a large terrace, working elevator, and a free parking space. It's just a 10-minute walk to the beach and to the main seafront area full of restaurants and bars. We have AC in every room, and standing desk with a monitor attached, if you need it to connect your laptop.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our cat is indoor-only and we never let him out, so keeping him safely inside is essential. All windows and terrace doors have mosquito nets, it's fine to have them open with the net closed, but only while you're in the apartment, and never overnight or when you go out. He's a little shy with new people, but very sweet once he settles. The September weekend sit is short (3 days / 2 nights), so it may suit someone local or already in the Larnaca area, while the longer autumn sit (about 11 nights) could be a lovely stay for a travelling sitter too.
