Peaceful Asheville Retreat with Koi Pond, Hot Tub and Sauna

About this assignment

We are looking for a reliable house sitter for 3 weeks in September 2026. Our house is located in South Asheville, North Carolina. We would want someone that would communicate with us if there were any issues or questions. Our home is designed in a clean and minimalist style, which seems peaceful to us. We would like someone who would keep it clean and take good care of our fish and home.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

No dog or cat care required! Our two Mini Aussies travel with us, so the only pets you'll be caring for are our 25 koi in the outdoor pond. They're fed every other day, and the filter needs cleaning twice a week.
Other usual stuff like watering indoor and outdoor potted plants when needed, taking out trash and recycling, and getting mail.

What are the good features of the property and location

You can enjoy the back porch which overlooks the pond and waterfalls, relax in the hot tub or sauna, or gather around the fire pit. The pond's resident bullfrogs provide their own evening soundtrack! For inside fun, there is a ping pong table downstairs as well as gym equipment if you have the impulse to workout.

We're approximately one mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway and close to hiking and the North Carolina Arboretum. Downtown Asheville is an easy trip away, with its wonderful restaurants, art galleries, music scene, and distinctive neighborhoods. And if you want to explore farther, beautiful mountain towns such as Black Mountain, Saluda, Boone, and Blowing Rock are within easy reach.
