Quiet rural home with friendly old dog that needs company and walks

About this assignment

We are looking for a kind, quiet, responsible person (non-smoking, no party-animal) that loves nature and walks (twice a day for about an hour) with our dog Jada. The data are not yet fixed since we would like to assure a fantastic house sitter for our beloved dog and then we book our flights, but it is around this period (including Christmas and excluding New Year's).

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To walk the dog and take care of her, cuddle her and feed her. The dog is used to being outside in a fenced area where she also has an indoor sleeping place.
Furthermore intervene where necessary if something should happen, due to for example lightning or a problem with the pool.
We will accommodate you in a part of our accommodation (which is a AL - Alojamento Local - which we are not renting out during these weeks).
The rest of the accommodation will be locked, but of course something unwanted can always happen if it is windy, lightning strikes, or raining extremely hard, for example.

What are the good features of the property and location

The accommodation is comfortable and situated in a quiet location next to the Ecopista do Dão and features the necessary amenities (Wi-Fi, etc.) and numerous hiking opportunities. A car or bicycle is recommended (we can provide a bicycle if desired) to run errands about five kilometers away in the city of Tondela, where is also a veterinarian, hospital, banks, and shops.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

As mentioned, the accommodation itself is larger, with terraces/grounds and a swimming pool to keep an eye on if needed. However, we do lock off various parts of the accommodation. We make a spacious room with bathroom and a kitchen-diner available to you. There is a parking space next door. Because of the differences in height of the terraces and also inside the house and some stairs, this accommodation is not suitable for children or elderly.
