17th century cottage in middle of woodland but only 5 mins drive to shops and other amenities. Beautiful setting on a private estate so no passing traffic, very tranquil.

About this assignment

I am travelling abroad for 3 months (dates are flexible) and need a trustworthy person to look after the cottage and my little cat.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Caring for my 3 year old cat who is quite independent but needs a companion whilst I am away. She is healthy and active and spends lots of time outdoors, she is affectionate and friendly.

What are the good features of the property and location

The 17th century cottage is set in private grounds and is surrounded by trees and beautiful countryside. However the town centre is only a 5 minute drive away and the city centre is only a 15 minute drive. Short drive to the coast and only a few miles from the border with Cornwall. The cottage has one double and one single bedroom, a well equipped kitchen and a big garden.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I am looking for someone who is able to commit for 3 months.As it is a long period of time I am looking for someone who would be prepared to pay for some of their own heating costs.
The cottage has a multi fuel stove in the living room so the house sitter would need to be confident in using this. A vehicle would be useful as the nearest shop / bus stop is about a 20 min walk.

Can I bring my own pets?
