Cat Sitter needed in a beautiful, small mountain town in Colorado

About this assignment

I'm looking for a reliable, trustworthy animal lover who will care for and hang out with my cat Jack while I'm away on vacation. Jack loves hanging out and sleeping on the deck for hours, but otherwise is an indoor kitty. He's a funny little guy and always needs a quick way back inside, so you gotta leave the door to the deck opened a little using a small box. :) He also loves tummy rubs and brushes. And, you'll hear him at night playing soccer with his balls. :) He's very shy, so he'll be hiding out for at least the first 3 days of your arrival and likely go unseen, but no worries, he'll eventually appear yawning and stretching. Just call out his name in a low tone once in a while so he knows someone is present that knows his name even if a stranger.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Jack is extremely low maintenance, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the stunning, small mountain town of Ridgway and surrounding areas.
The responsibilities include:
1) Keep Jack's water fountain full with tap water and his hard food bowl full with hard food.
2) Throw a handful of snacks on the floor next to his hard food bowl every morning.
3) Give him 1 can of soft food every evening placed next to his hard food bowl.
4) Give Jack some TLC (tender, loving, care).
5) Please be respectful of my home and leave it as you found it.

What are the good features of the property and location

My property is a modern, mountain home located in a forest of pinyon pine and juniper overlooking the stunning Mount Sneffels Range of the northern San Juan Mountains. It's located just outside the town of Ridgway (15 minute drive), a small mountain town in southwestern Colorado about 38 miles northwest of Telluride and 10 miles north of Ouray. Ridgway is known as the "Gateway to the San Juans" since it serves as the northern entry point to the San Juans and scenic San Juan Skyway loop. It's centrally located for also visiting other mountain towns, such as Silverton, Durango, Crested Butte, and Pagosa Springs.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You'll need a car and be able to manage stairs, as it's a 2-level home. And, please do not bring pets.
I'd like for you to arrive before I leave so I can introduce you to Jack and my home.
