About this assignment

My idea of a perfect house sitter is a responsible dog lover who will put up with a little guy who wants to direct his walks, taste what you're eating (even if it's just cleaning up your plate when you're done), and sniff everything he comes across. (Westies do have a reputation for being in charge). After that, I'd like someone who will pick up after the pup (Robbie) and keep a tidy house.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Water plants in the house, and pots in the backyard. (Trees, bushes, lawn, and "hell-strip" {between sidewalk and curb} are all on a sprinkler system. Yard gets mowed on Mondays, so you don't have to deal with it. Take out the trash, recycling and compost - it gets picked up on Monday so should be put out on Sunday. I think that's about it!

What are the good features of the property and location

My home is roughly half-way between downtown and the Cherry Creek shopping center - by car it's 10 minutes in either direction. Cheesman Park is 1/2 block away; east of the park is the Denver Botanic Gardens, and on the north end there's a charming coffee/restaurant spot "The Carriage House." The neighborhood is very walkable and you can choose from 3 grocery stores, one of which is Whole Foods. There are a number of restaurants in the area as well.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You'll need to navigate steps both inside and out. The front and back doors share a key but can be challenging the first time you try them.
