About this assignment

Our lovable and entertaining kitties request the honor of your presence while their people are on an extended vacation in May/June 2027. Beyond basic care and feeding, they love to interact with their sitter with a wand toy, maybe a game of fetch. Both Fox and Newton love to cuddle and will want to sleep with you.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding, providing fresh water, scooping litter, administering a daily liquid oral allergy med to Newton. Providing stimulation, affection and play a couple times a day. Bringing in the mail and watering the garden. Enjoying our lovely home environment and natural beauty of the area.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a fantastic, walkable neighborhood one block from a great little park. It is a nice walk down a gradually graded hill to the multitude of restaurants and shops in downtown Ballard. Walk to the Ballard Locks or bike to any number of parks on the Puget Sound. Vibrant downtown Seattle is a mere 15-20 minute drive.

Our home features a lovely light-filled upper level with kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, full bathroom, and office with French doors lead to a lovely garden in the back. Our lower level includes the master bed/bathroom, a family room, a half-bath, and laundry room. There are two furnished decks front and back (with gas BBQ grill) and two chaise-longes in the garden which provide multiple areas in which to enjoy Seattle's wonderful spring, summer and fall weather.

A/C, SONOS system, wifi, TV, Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax, Amazon FireStick, bed linens, towels, washing machine and dryer, and everything needed to enjoy cooking, eating, and relaxing.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Some folks love cats. Others don't. If you love cats AND the Pacific Northwest, this is a wonderful house/pet sitting opportunity.
