Three month in a small town in the middle of Germany

About this assignment

We are looking for one or two reliable people to pet our cat and keep the apartment feeling lived-in while we’re away.
Cleo is a trusting and very cuddly cat, though never pushy. She is four years old, playful, and an avid mouser who enjoys outdoor access via cat flaps—though in winter, she prefers lounging indoors on the couch. Cleo considers us her "gang" and likes to share her catch with us.

She eats only dry food and catches her own mice. She drinks from a motion-activated water fountain. She is spayed and hasn't needed any other veterinary care so far. The most important thing is having someone around who is loving and reliable for cuddle time. She lets us know when she’s coming back inside 😀.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Be there for the cat. Water the plants about once a week. Sometimes bring a mouse into the garden and keep the apartment reasonably tidy.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our cozy apartment with 5 rooms and over 100 sqm offers a perfect view over the rooftops of the small spa town of Bad Gandersheim—an ideal spot to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks. The apartment features two bathrooms (with both a bathtub and a shower) and a separate room for drying laundry, so the living area stays clutter-free. You are welcome to use the provided Christmas tree stand and decorations to create a festive atmosphere during the Advent season. A rice cooker and a slow juicer are available for use. We also provide three wooden sleds and—by prior arrangement—two snowboards with gear (boot sizes 45 and 39); cross-country skis are also an option. The Harz mountain range begins just 20 minutes away; the Wurmberg ski area (with lifts) is just one of the winter activities available in the region. There is also a fantastic sauna in Seesen, located 10 minutes away by car or 15 minutes by train.
A large supermarket can be reached on foot in five minutes.
You can visit many nearby cities, such as Göttingen (40 minutes), Hanover (50), Hildesheim, or Braunschweig (50).
Just around the corner (4 km away) lies an alternative, somewhat communal village called Heckenbeck. Many interesting activities take place there. It features a theater, various shared spaces, organic food, and many events you can attend.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We would love to have a nice and reliable person in our apartment. For us it would be great to have people here for the whole three months we are away. It would be nice to share the extra costs for heating, electricity and internet
