Our ideal sitter(s) would be mature (in spirit if not years), kind, experienced, and conscientious. Of paramount importance is our sitters' ability to take care of our sweet 11-year old-cat. It is important that our sitters know how to respect the apartment as well as the quiet of our neighbors (who you might never even see.) In return, we hope our sitters will have a wonderful experience exploring Lucca!
Primary responsibility is to keep Skeeter feeling safe, happy and secure. He is a very mellow cat. Shy at first, but by the next morning, he'll probably have checked you out. If you know cats, he'll be very easy. No medications, just the usual: Just the usual food, water, treats, play, and, yeah, scooping the cat box. (He's very reliable about using his box.)
If I have plants around, water them.
If the trash and recycling need to go out, I'll tell you how to do that. We appreciate you doing this for us!
Our apartment is only a couple minutes from a ramp up to the wide path along the top of Lucca's famous wall. In the other direction, is a stunning Medieval Portal opening up to a main thoroughfare with lots of shops, restaurants and piazzas. Our apartment is on the ground floor (just a few short steps to the door.) It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a dining area, full (if small) kitchen with customary appliances and utensils. We not only have a washer, but it's a washer-dryer combo, a rarity in Italy! We have many things to see in Lucca, but my favorite past-time is just wandering the small streets, sitting in a piazza, or visiting some of the city's remarkable historic museums and towers. (Thank goodness for GPS to get you back home!)
This is a great location for people wanting to travel without a car. Lucca's historic district is very pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Our apartment offers no parking for your car, although we can refer you to public lots, That said, although much of the historic district is a limited traffic zone (ZTL), you are just outside of it, and you can either drop off your bags before going for parking, or have a taxi from the train station drop you right at our door. It really helps! (There's also an easy and convenient bus from the train station that stops very near us. A walk from the train station takes about 20 minutes, although lugging suitcases over old roads can be tough for some. We'll do everything we can to make this all as easy as possible for your.
No, sorry.
