Experienced Pet & House Sitter Wanted - Germany

About this assignment

Looking for a responsible, caring & experienced person or couple to stay in my home (log cabin) in Dielheim, Germany (near Heidelberg) for 3 1/2 weeks in November. Priority is finding someone who genuinely loves animals and will enjoy spending time with my two dogs and one cat and keeping them comfortable.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The dogs need their normal daily walk, two meals a day, and companionship. My cat is an indoor cat although she would tell you differently; she also gets two or three meals a day depending on her mood. I will provide detailed written instructions on food, veterinarian information, contacts and everything else you will need. Other responsibilities include bringing in mail, putting trash/recycling and watering plants as needed.

What are the good features of the property and location

I live in a comfortable home in a quite country area near Dielheim, in the Heidelberg/Rhein-Neckar region of Germany. The house has a lovely garden and outdoor areas to relax. Peaceful residential area and would suit someone who enjoys a quieter stay rather than someone looking for a busy city environment. The are beautiful walking paths in the area. Heidelberg, Sinsheim, Neckargemund, Mannheim and other interesting destinations in the region are easily accessible for sightseeing.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Ideal sitter would be experienced with dogs and cats, comfortable caring for older animals, responsible, dependable and tidy, a non-smoker, someone who genuinely enjoys animals and companionship, comfortable staying in a private home for 3 1/2 weeks, experienced with pet and house sitting, able to provide references from previous sits, ideally someone with a background check, comfortable communicating with me regularly while I am away.
