Keep the house tidy and secure, water plants, collect mail, take out rubbish, and contact us if any problems arise while we’re away, as reasonably needed.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our peaceful 16-acre farm has beautiful views, gardens, a geodesic dome, and easy access to the Gunks, New Paltz, local trails, nearby wineries, and restaurants.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

A car is essential. This is a quiet, rural, working farm, so sitters should be comfortable with country roads, wildlife, insects, and seasonal farm activity throughout their stay.

Restrictions: Yes, only if they are house trained. Especially cats with scratching furniture. My daughter has two at her place and I see what her cats have done to the furniture. So just trying to avoid the same happening to us. With dogs for them to be trained to go o
