Three queens (cats) are looking for a pet sitter

About this assignment

We are the happy owners of three cats: Matchi (2 years), Tinto (2 years), and Tintin (1 year). All three are girls. Tinto is the mother of Tintin. Since we love to travel — but our cats do not — we regularly look for cat sitters who can stay in our home. Often it’s for weekend trips or longer periods of 1–3 weeks. We prefer someone who stays in the house during our absence.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

• Give plenty of attention to Matchi, Tinto and Tintin :). They play a lot — Matchi and Tintin regularly. They also sleep a lot, preferably close to you.
• Tintin and Matchi are good friends and often spend time together.
• Unfortunately, Tinto has become afraid of Matchi, so for now we keep Tinto separated from the other cats.
• Feed the cats: make sure the food and water dispenser is filled and functioning. Twice a day they also get wet food (they love it!) — breakfast and dinner.
• Clean the litter boxes daily.
• If applicable: take care of the plants in the house and in the garden (watering, etc.).
• Keep the house clean.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is an 80 m² ground-floor apartment with a garden, located in the north of Rotterdam: Hillegersberg. It’s a quiet neighbourhood, yet close to shops and restaurants. A small shopping street is within walking distance, including several supermarkets. Buses and trams also stop nearby, taking you either into the city centre or to other cities. The Rottemeren lakes are also close by.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The cats love to play & to be petted (on their terms of course). So giving plenty of attention is important. Especially Matchi will require lots and lots and lots of petting. The others are more specialized in sleeping:)
As mentioned in the responsibilities: Tinto has to be separated from the other cats. So this requires a bit more attention from time to time.
