Pretty Banyoles, Catalunya; sitting house and cuddly cat; 31 Oct to 10 Nov

About this assignment

We are looking for someone reliable, communicative, caring and respectful.
Preferably someone with experience taking care of cats.

We don't allow smoking inside the house. Oh, and given that we live in a residential neighbourhood - no late-night reggaeton parties please. :-D

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Administering cuddles, food and drink to cat Norma.

She is sweet-natured even if she is French! ;-p She may need a little time to warm up to you but once her moment has come, is very cuddly and much into body contact. She can be quite independent and has her days when she spends most of the time asleep. At other times she is super playful and will chase anything you try (these bouts usually last 5 minutes).

Some of her favourite passtimes:
- patrolling the garden, hanging out with friend cats and hissing at foe cats
- dreaming she is Superman (see picture)
- receiving cuddles (see other picture)

The couple plants we have are unfussy and only need watering (the domesticated avocados are the most thirsty ones of the lot).

What are the good features of the property and location

We are a few minutes away from Banyoles, which has the largest natural lake in Catalunya. It is quite picturesque and has good spots to grab coffee and a meal.

Banyoles will cater for all of your daily necessities, from supermarkets to health and organic shops and a zero waste shop.

There are plenty of options to have nice hikes in the immediate vicinity, and several natural parks are within car range.

We are less than an hour away from the Costa Brava.

Girona, cultural hub and global capital of cycling enthousiasts, is only 15 kilometres away (that is 10 miles).

The climate is welcoming pretty much all year round.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We are frequent travellers and regularly need someone to (wo)man the house - if we find a good match, perhaps you could become our return sitter?

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
