I’m looking for a reliable dog lover to spend Christmas with Tipsy in my Berlin apartment while I’m away December 15–29. He’s a sweet, affectionate rescue dog who enjoys company and often carries his favourite toy on walks.
I’m new to MindMyHouse but have 15 sitter reviews on TrustedHousesitters, including several from people who have returned to look after Tipsy. I’m happy to share those. I speak English and German and want you to feel comfortable and at home during your stay.
The main responsibility is looking after Tipsy: taking him out for 3–4 walks each day, keeping his food and water topped up, and giving him company and affection. He doesn’t need any medication and can stay home alone for up to six hours if absolutely necessary, so there’s time to explore Berlin between walks. Tipsy also is very comfortable going to cafes, restaurants and quieter bars with you and even does great on public transportation and escalators and elevators.
Please also keep the apartment reasonably tidy and send me occasional updates or a photo of Tipsy. I’ll explain his routine and everything you need to know before I leave. I also have a few house plants to water.
My home is a spacious 100 m² ground-floor apartment in a great part of Neukölln, close to the canal and several parks—lovely for walks with Tipsy. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, and public transport makes it easy to explore the rest of Berlin.
The apartment has a large, updated kitchen, a comfortable living room, high-speed Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace and TV with Netflix. There’s room to settle in, cook a Christmas meal and enjoy it with friends around the large dining room table. The location is great to explore Berlin.
Please apply if you can cover December 15–29 and are happy to plan your days around Tipsy’s 3–4 daily walks.
I am leaving early on the 15th so would prefer someone who can come in the morning on the 15th.
Yes
Restrictions: But would need to meet Tipsy before the sit so he knows the other animal already and to ensure they get along. I would not want Tipsy to meet another pet for the first time on the first day of the sit.
