Six Months Free Rent and Utilities

About this assignment

I'm looking for someone who will take care of my three dogs the way I do. I am planning to deploy in the near future and will likely need six months of coverage. I live in an apartment so they need to be walked several times a day. One of my dogs needs to be taken to the dog park at least twice per week.

I have a 65 lbs. Lab - Daisy, 5 years old
I have a 55 lbs Beagle/Coonhound Mix - Diesel, 2 years old
I have a 15 lbs JackPoo - Duke, 3 years old

Daisy is sweet and calm most of the time but plays with Duke and Diesel sometimes too.

Diesel and Duke are VERY energetic and rambunctious. They play almost constantly. Diesel is still in the chewing stage so I keep anything I don't want chewed up on a high shelf. I'm also working on house-training Diesel. They have pee pads and use them when I work. When I'm, home, they let me know when they need to be walked.

I would prefer someone who is either home all day or at least home every 4 - 5 hours.

My dogs need to be walked separately.

Daisy gets scared easily and will lung but not bite, if someone runs up near her. I keep her on the grassy area right next to my apartment for best control.

Diesel loves everyone and is my dog park celebrity. More people know him that know me. We're still working on leash behavior. He pulls so you need to be strong enough to hold onto him.

Duke barks at everyone, including the wind, grass, frogs - name it and he barks at it.

My apartment has two bedrooms and an office. You'll have a private bathroom as well.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Other than taking care of my dogs, there are no other responsibilities. I will pay the rent and utilities. You'll only need to pay for your food and personal expenses such as cell phone, car, car insurance, and so on.

What are the good features of the property and location

I have free access to a pool from May - October, a business center, a gym, outdoor grilling area, and dog park. For a rental fee, you can reserve the on-site 24 seat theater to show movies or have small gatherings.

I'm less than 10 minutes from Ft. Bragg. The complex is quiet and peaceful.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I plan to be deployed out of the country for six months. I have a niece that lives nearby and can stop by and help with the dogs if needed.
