Cosy house in rural Norway – care for our goats, hens and rabbits (14 November – 3 January)

About this assignment

We’re looking for a responsible, tidy and caring house sitter we can trust, who will keep the house clean and nice while we’re away. Most importantly, you should enjoy being around animals and be happy to feed and care for our goats, hens and rabbits every day, and keep their area clean. Experience with animals isn’t required, but genuine interest is. You should also be comfortable with rural living and a Norwegian winter.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed the goats, hens and rabbits every day, and make sure they always have fresh hay and clean water. In winter, check that the water hasn’t frozen. Collect the eggs from the hens daily. Clean out the animal enclosures at least once a week and put down fresh bedding. Keep an eye on the animals’ health and give them some attention, as they are tame and love a cuddle. We’ll show you everything before we leave and are always available on the phone.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a rural area, there could be mice, especially in the barn. The oppotunity includes taking care of 2 goats, 6 hens and 2 rabbits.

Restrictions: As long as the pet doesn't destroy indoors or is agressive towards our other pets
