We are looking for a reliable, practical, trustworthy couple to look after our pets and gardens in the Ecuadorian Andes from December 10th until January 22nd

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Walk and feed our dog Guinness feed our cats Basilio and overdose them with cuddles! All fit, low maintenance pets.
Keep the plants watered and looked after.

What are the good features of the property and location

Quiet and peaceful location in a forested area by the river. We have some neighbours near by but there is plenty of seclusion for artists, writers or those working online. Loads of different birds always chirping in the background.

- 15 mins walk to vibrant town of Vilcabamba where English is widely spoken. Vilcabamba is known as the valley of longevity. Myth or truth we don't know, but for sure this valley has clean water, clean air and plenty of tasty fruit and vegetables that lead to a healthier life. Without mentioning the array of affordable yoga teachers, masseurs, natural remedies and alternative therapist that can be found here as well as. Nature endeavours such as hiking, horse back riding and river dipping have the most scenic backdrops and the temperatures are a pretty sweet 25degrees Celsius all year round. During the months that we'll be away, it'll be windy but still warm, with a bright sun and blue skies.

- House has: washing machine, fireplace, fully kitted kitchen, fast internet connection (fiber optic).

Nature lovers and health conscious people would find our location delightful.
Speaking Spanish desirable but not essential.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Though we encourage sitters to take part of the eclectic social life Vilcabamba has to offer, we are quite private people and are strict on requesting that socialising does not take place at our property.
