Oxford UK, house, garden and two dogs

About this assignment

We are looking for someone who will look after our two dogs, take care of the house, (so that we get it back in the state it started) and keep an eye on the garden and plants. We also want you to enjoy our house, garden, the doggies and Oxford.
Ideally, you will have experience of how houses work and be able to sort any problems before they become a crisis.
We have some flexibility over dates.
Our older dog is nearly 15 and needs a little special extra care. She can walk long distances but does it quite slowly. She needs reassurance if she gets upset.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Taking care of house, security (setting alarm, locking doors etc).
Clean up after yourselves and the doggies. (steam mop for kitchen floor)
Maintain our dog rules: not going upstairs, no sitting on furniture and attempting to stop them barking when outside. (treats, vet details etc provided)
No parties or anything that would damage contents

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is situated a short walk into central Oxford, yet close to the ring road if you want to get away. It is quite large, 4 bedrooms, family bathroom and nice kitchen. I am very proud of my garden which is usually colourful, with a veg plot and mini-greenhouse. The dogs are Penelope (11) Springer x Collie and "Disraeli - Dizzy" and (Greyhound x Collie) x Cocker spaniel (3). The sprolly is sweet and likes cuddles Dizzy is bonkers and very lively but needs lots of cuddles. He is tennis ball mad. Both are affectionate so plenty of opportunity for petting. Nice parks locally for walks.
The décor is relatively plain and modern. Off street parking.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The dogs need walking at least once a day and cannot be left for more than 5 hours. Checking the garden daily would be very kind, odd watering and keeping an eye on the greenhouse. Disraeli is inexhaustible.
