About this assignment

PLEASE NOTE: Stay can be extended if needed/exact dates of my travel are tentative so we should discuss as soon as possible. I will be away for 2 weeks only.

For over 25 years old experienced cat sitter (no couple). I would expect you to be responsible, reliable and to keep in touch regularly/nearly daily whilst I am away so I have peace of mind. You will have your own double size bedroom for the entire stay and use of all house facilities/garden. There is a TV connected to the internet with VPN and fast wi-fi at the property, I work from home so you could also work from here. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer (if needed in winter). Please note that guests or parties are not allowed whilst I am away. There are external cameras which must be kept on at all times.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Looking after my cat, Missy, a mature, laid-back 14 year old black female cat, she enjoys going to the garden and is very affectionate after the initial period of getting used to you. She would need feeding twice (sometimes three) times a day, ensuring she is generally well and making sure the property is also looked after during my absence, kept clean and tidy as you found it. Missy enjoys being pet and combed, she is a loud purring girl. You will need to be at the property every night and can't take trips elsewhere in the country for longer than ~ 15/17 hours. More details will be given to the chosen sitter.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is located in the London Borough of Bexley (zone 6 for public transport purpose) and daily ticket to Central London (zone 1) costs £16.30. Travelling cost will not be reimbursed.
Central London is only a 30/40 min train ride depending on which London terminal you are travelling to. There are direct trains to Victoria, London Bridge, Cannon Street or Charing Cross running every 15 mins. Greenwich is also very close by. There are 3 big parks and a golf course on a short 5/10 min walking distance from the property. Local shops are 10 min walk away.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Prerequisites:
1. Provide sitting references, ideally a criminal record check if you have it (i.e. DBS) and a copy of your passport/ID prior to starting.
2. Need to be at least 25 years old. No time wasters and inexperienced cat sitters, Missy is a mature cat, she enjoys laid-back life, garden, sofa and bed, lots of purring.
3. Before confirming your sitting assignment, I will need to see evidence of your flight/train tickets (where applicable).
