About this assignment
Looking for experienced sitters with recent and ongoing experience with dogs. Dogs are male pointers so m/l in size, active, love to run.
Large Georgian mansion house with land.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Care and attention for two dogs. Need daily exercise. Regular updates.
House would be left in an immaculate condition, Would have to be in same condition at end of assignment, hence regular housework required. At this time of year, little gardening to do, just maintain tidiness.
What are the good features of the property and location
Rural idyll. Bucolic countryside in Dumfries and Galloway. 20 mins Car drive to beach.
Large renovated country house plenty of space. All mod cons.
Comfortable and warm. Own bathroom.
10 acres, tennis court.
Good variety of farm shops..
Own transport required
Good walking. Lovely neighbours.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The house and property are large. Remote workers would find it difficult to juggle assignment and work.
Best suited to active, fit couple who are self sufficient, dog lovers.
Need a car.
Property insurance only covers couples not extended family or pets.
Can I bring my own pets?

Wonderful house and gorgeous boy Mo
We enjoyed our house sit for Carla over Christmas 2018. She gave detailed, clear instructions prior to the assignment. We had a lovely welcome dinner to meet the family and hansom boy Mo. Some tasks to care for the ailing boy were a little demanding but when you love dogs, especially this dear chap, it's what you do. Carla was generous by the food she left. We would recommend this house assignment and hope to be back again.

Lovely owners, adorable dog
We’ve sat for these owners on a number of occasions (at a different property) and absolutely love doing so. Mojo is the most adorable dog and we’re always really sad to say goodbye when it’s time for us to leave. Carla is very easy to get along with and we would now class her as a good friend, though we met as house sitters/home owners. She’s helpful and honest about her requirements and is good at keeping in touch. I would highly recommend this assignment to anyone and we’re just sorry we’re not available this time.

A pleasure to sit for
We love house-sitting for Carla and have done so on a number of occasions. Mo is an absolute sweetheart and we want to dog-nap him every time we have to leave! Pip needs someone who isn't a pushover but anyone who is good with ponies would find him to be delightful, once you get to know him.
