Our pets are affectionate and friendly but the younger dog needs to be walked on lead with harness as she pulls a little, and is quite strong. One dog has daily joint supplements added to her food.
REQUIRED: house sitting experience and references we can check. We're going to be away from mid-morning on 4th March to late afternoon on 5th. We need someone who is happy to arrive here on the evening of 3rd to stay in the house with our two dogs, and our two cats, until our return.
Be a good friend to our pets, keep them safe, take the dogs for walks in a lovely park just a couple of minutes away. One dog is old so she needs just one leisurely walk each day. The other dog is very young and needs plenty of exercise, so she needs two walks. Take care of the house and keep it secure and tidy. Make sure our dogs are not left alone for more than 4-5 hours maximum.
We have an old Edwardian terraced house not far from the city centre in Doncaster. There's a spacious guest bedroom with kingsize bed, a good kitchen, dining room and living room. There's a small rear garden, and we have fibre broadband and central heating. On-street parking, with easy bus and car access to the city and the A1/M1 motorways, and other interesting local towns within a shortish drive. York is just an hour's drive away, and Scarborough is similar. We're a very short taxi ride away from the train station.
Need to be prepared to spend most of the time with the dogs, i.e. not being out and about for more than 4-5 hours. Ideally, we need someone who isn't going to be out all day and in the evening.
No, sorry.

Maxine and Kerry were a delight. Really interesting and interested couple. The house was well organised and tidy. Fully equipped kitchen, all in good working order. Max made sure enough space was available for my foodstuffs. Ms Tilly, their border collie was such a pleasure to be with. She was very well-behaved in the house and outside on walks. She looked after me well! Mr Snert, their ginger tom cat was a joy to be with. He would come for a walk with me and Tilly in the evening and 'hijack' Tilly, who took it all in her stride. A wonderful experience in a beautiful village.
