About this assignment
Hello, we're looking for a friendly couple or a person on their own, to take care of our 2 older cats and 2 younger cats, Giving them lots of love and cuddles.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feeding our 4 cats, one of which has a half a pill in her food every day. Keeping the house clean and tidy, watering the house plants and feeding the pond fish.
What are the good features of the property and location
Set in a quiet rural hamlet, but only 6 minutes away by car to the nearest town with, shops and bars etc. 1 hour from the coast at La Rochelle. Friendly French and English neighbours.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Need to gave a car
Useful to be able to speak french but not essential as there are English neighbours who help out if there are any problems. The house is in a small hamlet with no shops etc
Can I bring my own pets?

It was a real pleasure to sit for Amanda and Robin. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, with a lovely home cooked dinner. They are very interesting people. They have a lovely house in a peaceful location. Shopping was a short 5 minutes’ drive. We enjoyed their Gordon Setter, Popi around the small village and agriculture pastures, catching sight of the odd dear or hare. The cats are real characters. We are glad we could help Alice back to good health during our stay. We are going to miss her the most. Thank you, Amanda and Robin, we hope to see you again.

Lovely Couple
I looked after Amanda and Robin's house and pets for about three weeks. They briefed me really well, including providing me with an Aide Memoire before they set off on their holiday. Even so, I did have one or two questions for them while they were away but they always answered them promptly and in a friendly manner. When the time came to leave I felt I had made two lovely friends and would not hesitate in recommending them as home owners.

A Delightful Sit
We have sat for Amanda & Robin twice (once for 3 months and once for 6 weeks and their home is comfortable and spacious a typical French rural property. The dog Popi is delightful laid back and easy to care for and the walks are circular and mostly flat.. The four cats are independent and come and go as they please, each has their own personality are fun to be with. The property benefits from a log burning fire and Robin makes sure to leave a huge supply of logs. The car is quite old but a very good runner and will get you into Chef Boutonne in 10 minutes. Many places of interest nearby.
