About this assignment

Someone that enjoys the quiet slow pace of island life. There are two cats and a parrot. No experience necessary for the parrot. There are also numerous deer that pass through the yard.
Must have some gardening knowledge. Single person, couple or family. Non smokers.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Responsible for feeding 2 cats, 1 parrot and watering plants and mow lawns spring and summer months.

What are the good features of the property and location

There is a view of Penn Cove, Saratoga Passage, Mt Baker and the town of Coupeville from the house. Coupeville is one block away, a nice walk down to several restaurant and shops. There is a hospital and a market about five minutes away.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

House sitters need to have their own vehicle. There is a small grocery store in town about a mile from the house, The larger stores are about 10 miles away. Clothes shopping, theater and night life are on the mainland. The closest ferry is 15 minutes away, which goes to the peninsula, the other ferry is about 40 minutes away and goes to the mainland. That terminal is approximately 45 minutes north of Seattle. There is also a bridge on the north end of the island.
