About this assignment

I am looking for a housesitter at least from the morning of

Wed. Aug. 20th to Tu. Sept. 23rd (2025) The main requirement is to take care of my cat. I live near the town of Le Bugue, in the Dordogne Dept. of France, about 2 hours east of Bordeaux. The house is a large ancient presbytery. There are many tourist attractions in the area. The housesitter would need to bring their own car.  They would need to show up sometime late on Wed. Aug.20th  to go over the housesit.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed and water my cat. Mow the large lawn every 2 weeks (probably 2 to 3 times), and do some grass trimming around buildings. Keep the house reasonably clean. Be friendly to my cat. Bring their own car.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is large, and has modern conveniences, including wifi on a fiber optic network. There are many tourist attractions in the Dordogne in general and especially in the section of the Dept. ( Perigord Noir) that I live in.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The housesitter must bring their own car. The position is non-paying. References are useful but not mandatory. It helps to know how to run a riding mower.
