Cat-sitter Sought for 2 weeks July 2026

About this assignment

Need house/cat-sitter(s) in Sylva NC for July 19-31, 2026. References required. Sylva is in the Smokey Mountains in western North Carolina. My house is right in town and it takes less than 5 minutes to walk to downtown Sylva. Our three cats are indoor-outdoor cats and easy to care for but much loved and need plenty of attention.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

You must love animals including cats. There are 3 cats. Cats are inside/outside. Minimal box cleaning required. All animals are in good health and friendly. There are 2 houses on the property and one cat has to be fed in a separate house from the other 2; this house is right next door. Some easy mowing of the yard is also required. The yard is only about 1/2 acre and flat; I have an electric push mower. The house you will be staying in is small with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. It is an old house but is kept clean. We will expect it to be clean when we return.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is right in town and it takes less than 5 minutes to walk to downtown Sylva. Sylva is a great town with lots of restaurants and breweries. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Asheville. Cherokee NC and the Smokey Mountain National Park is about 20 miles away. The house has air-conditioning.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I will need references from previous property owners you've pet sat for. No smoking, drugs or partying allowed! I can't think of anything else right now.
