We are seeking an individual or couple who will take good, loving care of our cat and dog and house; NONSMOKERS only, please, and no children; a house manual details what is needed (not complicated)
Loving care for our 5 year old cat and 3 year old dog, a dachshund-chihuahua mix. Both are fed and given clean water twice a day; litter box should be scooped out daily. Loving attention and play are needed. Cat Zoya likes to be petted and played with on her terms. Zoya is allergic to chicken, and please do not give her anything other than her regular dry food. Dog Beau gets two walks daily. He loves to play tug-of-war. Please keep the house clean and free from debris as this is a tropical location. We also have a few plants that will need watering.
House is very comfortable and in a quiet area of Puerto Vallarta. We are just 4 blocks to the local bus stop, which will take you to the malecón, beaches, and everything tourists love, but you can enjoy being in a tranquil setting where you can hear the birds singing. The house is in a wonderful walkable (=flat) area, an easy walk to both Costco and the local large supermarket. A small, but well-stocked grocery is less than a block away, and there are many small restaurants and cafes within a few blocks. It really has the best of everything!
We are outside of the local tourist area and many neighbors only speak Spanish. American/Canadian food items are likely available at La Comer, which is a few blocks away, but prices are not inexpensive for imported goods. The house has good internet, but spotty cell phone coverage unless you are outside or upstairs. This house- and petsitting gig is during high season, when the weather should be gorgeous and Vallarta will be hopping! We are happy to offer suggestions about both day trips and longer trips.
Gayle and Paul are such a friendly and well traveled couple. I enjoyed staying in their beautiful house in Puerto Vallarta/Mexico and taking care of Zoya( super friendly and well trained cat). Gayle and Paul’s hospitality was beyond my dream expectations. They come to pick me up from the airport, took me out for dinner the first night I arrived and showed me around to make sure I have everything I might need. Gayle also put me in touch with some of her friends there. The instructions provided were very clear and I did not have any problems at all. I enjoyed my stay at their house but mostly I enjoyed Zoya’s company. I would highly recommend Gayle and Paul and I would house/pet sit for them in any time and any locations.
