Gorgeous, historic, Spanish Mediterranean home in Miami, Florida, and 8 pound dog need a summer sitter!

About this assignment

We are looking for a house sitter and dog caretaker for our beautiful, historic, Spanish-Mediterranean style home in the heart of Miami. Enjoy our tropical setting and swimming pool while taking care of Loki, our 8lb rat terrier- chihuahua mix. All in sunny south Florida.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Take care of our dog Loki and keep an eye on the house. Feed the koi in our fountain pond. Because we don’t want to dictate how cool you like the house to be, we’d appreciate a 75% contribution to the electric bill.
We have a housekeeper who will clean and if you’d like her to do your laundry we can work that out.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our 3 bedroom/4 bath, two-story home is located in the village of Pinecrest which is lush and green and close to shops and restaurants. Our property is filled with old growth landscaping and features a pool with waterfall. The house is updated inside and looks like a Spanish villa on the outside. You’re a 15 minute drive from the beach, and close to parks, weekend markets, botanical gardens and more.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It would be ideal if you had or rented a car. Miami is a big city and there’s lots to see and do! We may be able to provide one so that’s up for discussion. Our garage is a separate carriage house with a one bedroom apartment above it which is occupied by a graduate student. He’s a great guy and may want to use the laundry facilities on occasion. You should be comfortable with that. We are! Please - no smoking of any kind, anywhere, ever.
