About this assignment
Responsible types who will enjoy the old house and young cats, the village with all services within 5minutes walk and the tranquil surroundings and help keep things in reasonable order during my absence.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Minding and feeding the cats and relaxing ! .Otherwise keeping the place clean and tidy and chasing away the cobwebs while exploring the tranquil surrounds.
What are the good features of the property and location
Eccentric village house with views to the Pyrenees, . Wifi, Orange TV, plenty of books etc. It is a short walk uphill to the village centre and downhill to the supermarket.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Own transport is required as it is 12km to the nearest bus connection to Toulouse and 22km to the nearest rail station at Lannemezan. Daily markets in surrounding villages and towns. Saturday morning market in village.
Can I bring my own pets?

Thank you so much Simon for a such a great opportunity to share your home in France - and what a place it is! We stayed in this beautiful rambling farmhouse for 5/6 weeks and had the time of our lives. Simon is one of the most interesting and caring people we have ever met and his home is also interesting, relaxing and comfortable. The house has enough accommodation for a small army but still cosy with everything you could wish for. We didn’t have any animals to look after apart from the resident Pine Martens which added a new experience for us. The area where the house is located is rural and beautiful especially when the sunflowers are in bloom. So many places to go and see or just relax by the pool looking out at the Pyrenees on the horizon, it is absolute bliss! This is the one place that is constantly on our minds and would return tomorrow if we were invited. Any openings for 2018 Simon?

Fantastic Home and Home Owner
We had the pleasure of housesitting for Simon as our first house sit arranged by a website and it was a fantastic experience. Set in the countryside, it is near to lovely villages that often have festival events in the summer. Simon is a gem of a person, who had lots of great info for us and made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. We still talk about the great time we spent there. He gave clear instructions and we were able to communicate via email if there were any problems (there weren't).
