About this assignment

We are looking for a reliable person or couple for Dec. 7-13, 2025. Must be non-smoking. Dogs okay. No cats please. Come enjoy this area of Texas between Houston and Galveston. The best of both worlds! Or add on a cruise and we will drop you off at the port!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Responsibility of a house sitter would be to care for our dog, normal house upkeep and watering the plants. We have a sprinkler system and a yard service for mowing the lawns. We have a 12yr old Boston Terrier. He has a doggie door and is self-sufficient. Taking day trips without him would not be an issue. Of course, if you wish to take him, he would be happy with that also.
Bentley does like to have his meals served to him twice a day though.

What are the good features of the property and location

Welcome to our inviting home, a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. It is a one story ranch home on a quiet 24-acre fresh water private lake. No gas engines are allowed. Swim, fish, paddleboat or whatever you like. There is a large sitting area over the lake so you can enjoy the breeze, sunrise, and sunsets.
The sunroom is a great place to relax with a book.
The living room has a gas fireplace. Ceiling fans are in most of the rooms.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, gas stove with a convection oven, refrigerator, convection microwave, coffee station w/ Keurig coffee maker, complimentary variety of coffee, blender, cooking basics, dishware + flatware, garbage disposal, ice maker and Ninja air fryer.
The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The master has a king size bed. There is an additional full bathroom in the hallway for your guests. Second bedroom has a queen size bed.
Remote workers and traveling professionals can enjoy the dedicated office and free WiFi. Frontier Fios is the provider.
For your furry friends there is a medium doggie dog in the master bedroom sliding glass door that opens to a fenced in back yard. The dog door can be locked for security.
Two smart TV's have Fire Stick with Amazon Prime and Hulu.
