A responsible and tidy cat-lover, happy to relax in a lovely home surrounded by a garden.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Care for two indoor-outdoor cats. Sarah and Amelie have few needs. They spend most of the day roaming the property but come in at night to snooze on the couch and cuddle. Take in the mail.
What are the good features of the property and location
Gorgeous, quiet location with a garden filled with flowers and fruit trees. It's near the end of a quiet road but nonetheless is a 10-minute walk to the Promenade des Anglais and the sea as well as bus and tram stops. A car is not necessary as there is a large grocery store, bakery and other services at the end of the street. The airport is about 15 minutes by tram in one direction and the town centre (av Jean Medecin) is 15 minutes in the other direction.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
There is some parking on the street and on nearby streets but it can be troublesome. As there are 6 steps leading up to the entrance, it's not handicap-accessible.

Little paradise at the French Riviera
What an opportunity to house- and catsit at Jeanne's charming place at Nice! The cosy house in the midst of a small green paradise was so peaceful and the two lovely cats completed my happyness. Jeanne showed and explained me everything the day before she left. The written instructions in the house helped me too. The place is close to shopping, 'boulangerie", restaurants and seafront promenade - nevertheless it is very quiet! Sarah, the "fluff ball" was affectionate from the first moment. Amélie was more shy towards me, but she enjoyed the given caresses. And she was the "speaker" for the two. She announced their coming home, their hunger or any other need! Sarah was outside most of the time and Amélie was often sleeping inside during daytime. The two were really easygoing and entertaining! As I had my bicycle with me, I was very independent and discovered the town and the surroundings. What a wonderful area of South-France! I was always in contact with Jeanne for questions or exchange. She is such a friendly, cheerful, uncomplicated lady! Thank you for trusting me, Jeanne, I liked your place and your cats a lot! Easy going cats, unique location, friendly owner
I catsitted in Nice with two ladies - Amelie and Sarah with pleasure. They were just as Jeanne, the owner decscribed - .."Sarah, the fluff ball is friendly and affectionate. Amelie, the tiger lady is a little more guarded but eventually warms up to visitors..". They used to spend most of the time outdoors, especially Sarah - who wouldn't having such a cosy area around! I met Jeanne earlier and she gave me all the instructions, also printed which was helpful. The house is simple and so wonderfully located, not far from the sea but in a small street, peaceful and quiet. I explored the unique area the Cote d'Azur a lot on a bicycle but it's easy accessibe by local transport. I was in touch with Jeanne also on my last day when leaving, she is a very friendly woman. I would willingly come back.

Lovely Amelie
I took care of the most lovely CAT called Amelie in Nizza from May 3rd to May 15th 2022. Jeanne welcomed me in her very nice home in Nizza. She gave me very good instructions how to find her home. It was easy to reach from the airport. I felt immediately home. The day before Jeanne left she showed me how to use the tram and the tickets. It was so helpful. The Villa was not far away from the famous Promenade des Anglais, what luxury!! Amelie this wonderful cat was so easy to care for. She amazed me showing me how to take a wash in the bidet. Amelie was mostly out of the house. I made sure to be home at 5 p.m. to feed her and sit outside with her. I liked her very much. The house is surrounded by a nice garden with a lemontree and I had fresh lemons every day. Jeanne is such an uncomplicated beautiful women. I thank her for the trust she had in me. I would come again any time. Thank you Jeanne.

Lovely cat Gary, felt very welcome, perfect stay
I had a very pleasant time in Jeanne’s house. I felt very at home. The house is very nice and I loved the garden, citron- and orange trees. Perfect location, close to the beach, tram and airport. Nice part of Nice. Gary is a super sweet Siamese cat. I really loved him. The first days he was a bit reserved but suddenly he came at my lap. He was very clear in when he wanted cuddle or not. He slept on my bed and as soon as I was awake he came asking for caresses and food of course. He was funny, sometimes went out for hours and sometimes wanted to leave through the door and fifteen minutes later he came back through the kitchen. Sometimes he came in when I called him, but most of the time he did not come. Jeanne was very helpful and gave a lot of information (house-instructions and Nice-information) before I came and during my stay and I felt very relaxed . I had the impression that I could ask her everything and that she wanted me to feel at ease in her house. Nice is great. It is great to walk, swim, hire a bicycle , beautiful surroundings, museum as Matisse, Chagall, shop, have lunch in the sun, just sit and watch the sea… Many thanks to Jeanne for her hospitality and I would like to mind Gary again.

Wonderful Cote D'Azur
The two weeks I spent at Jeanne’s with cat Gary were amazing! Jeanne is a very interesting and friendly host. She provided detailed instructions and a lot of info on local transport & sightseeing. I immediately felt at home and very comfortable. The cat was great fun to play with and easy to look after. The house location is very convenient, close to shopping and beach, and I got to see a lot of places during my stay. Hopefully I will come back some time to visit and explore more of Nice. Thanks for everything!

Charming place with good vibes :)
I have sat for Jeanne several times and it is always a pleasure, she is a wonderful person, always helpful, if you need any advice on places to visit or anything else shes your girl! The cats Maddie and Gary are as different from each other as can be, Gary being slightly loopy talkative and a bit of a teenager, Maddie is a fluffy chilled and sleepy elderly cat, both are equally lovely, their requirements are to be fed and kept in at night. The home is situated within walking distance from the sea front, up a secluded lane tucked away from traffic, full of rustic charm with a tv and a comfy bed, a cute garden with lemon and orange trees, lovely grapes and sunbathing spot. I am very sad I cannot make it this time due to illness, but hope to be back there again as its a lovely spot.
