They have WIFI
I am welcoming a house sitter who: appreciates a few plants and creativity; enjoys one sweet cat; is responsible, leaving a tidy house; and who communicates clearly.
Putting food out for an independent kitty, watering a few house plants, and a few on the front porch. The cat has a cat door. I will be planting greens in a covered 4x4 raised bed in early February. They will need a little water every 2-3 days. I hope you will enjoy eating the greens.
Every time of the year is wonderful to visit Santa Fe. There are many hiking trails. The backyard is sweet, quiet and fenced, a sanctuary all times of the year. The house has wifi. The house sitter will stay in my studio guest bedroom/office, which is spacious and sunny, and has its own bathroom. There is a washer/dryer. The house is centrally located and very close to bus lines. It's easy to get around without a car. I know and love my neighbors and they are friendly and helpful. I'm about 12-15 minutes drive from the plaza by car or bus. There's a lovely yard on all sides. There are also nice nearby walking/biking trails and a woman's bike and helmut to use. I have hiking poles too and snowshoes. This time is in late winter. Winters in Santa Fe don't look like the pictures, which were taken in the summer. We will have skiing in the mountains. Days will be in the 40's to 60's and nights may freeze. Buds will be coming out on the fruit trees and bushes, and may well be blooming.
There is a cat door for the cat. I use apple TV and a VCR, and do not have cable or standard TV. The TV is small. There is wifi. It's a great cottage nurturing "nest" - about 1250 sq. feet. Feel free to stay an additional night or spend a night less. We can negotiate, and I can ask a neighbor to feed Kitten. Because my flight on the 25th leaves very early, I'll probably be leaving around 5 or 6 pm on the 24th to get closer to the airport. I'll need to use the studio the morning and early afternoon of the 24th. I'll be returning very, very late the 4th.
Thank you for letting me house and cat for you, Sarah! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Santa Fe in January 2019 before heading back to Australia. And Kitty Rumi is the cutest.
I loved sitting for Sarah. She has created a cozy home with wonderful energy. I arrived a day early and she fixed us dinner, which was very sweet. We had such a great convo I sort of wished she wasn't leaving! Her vegetable garden is an inspiration, the kitty is adorable and independent, as she says, and the location is not far from downtown. Although I had my car, she let me use her bike, which became my preferred mode of transportation. Really enjoyed this housesitting assignment and Santa Fe!
Kitty Rumi!!! We fell in love! She is one of a kind. We were so tempted to take her home with us.The garden was not only kitty paradise but also people paradise. Sarah has done a marvelous job in creating this amazing garden, She was extremely thorough in explaining the processes of watering her lovely plants and I also learned a lot more about red worms, which are a marvel in producing fertiliser juices. We loved staying at Sarah's 50's adobe house. We felt safe and cool enough in Santa Fe's summer temperatures. Thank you Sarah for entrusting us with that what you love.
