About this assignment

I am looking for a single person or couple who are mature and experienced with house and pets to help me walk my small dog and other house and garden projects while I'm waiting for hip replacement surgery in May. I would still be around, but working during the day from home and sometimes a local office, and you would have your privacy with a private guest room, bath and use of the house and yard.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

I'd like Bobby walked around the block on weekdays, so your weekend is free. And in exchange for room and board, I'd also like help with a few house and garden projects, but on your own time. So you can explore the area whenever is convenient for you, as long as you can help with a few projects. I'd like help anytime between March 26 and May 1 for a week or more, depending on your schedule.

What are the good features of the property and location

The NC Triangle is gorgeous in spring, with Sarah P. Duke gardens, hiking/biking trails, lakes and cultural activities and festivals. The 27 Mile American Tobacco bike trail is half a mile from my house, and Southpoint Mall is 3 miles down the trail. What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This listing is a little different, in that I would be in the house. But I work from home and sometimes from a local office, so you wouldn't see me much. However, I'd be available to give you suggestions of things to do, and if you'd like, we could enjoy some meals and activities together, but it's completely up to you.
