What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Hello sitters!
Once more we look for your help to take care of our beloved animals and home.
Located in the hills of Algarve and Alentejo, with a unique landscape, having a lot of local and Native plants.
We own:
Dogs
Cats
Chickens
Goats
Guinea Pigs
And a rabbit
This time we are going to Madeira Island.
Our dates are from the 26th of Marcha to the 7th of April.
Our home will be at your disposition while we are away, send us a message to know more.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our farm is situated South Portugal, close to the border between Alentejo and Algarve. Because we are in between two beautiful landscapes they collide and the diversity is enormous. We have Oak trees, Medronho, Willow, Eucalyptus, Fruit trees and a diverse flora of shrubs and bushes. We also host a number of wild animals such as wild deer, foxes, mongoose and many birds.
We live close to Saboia, Odemira and it's a bit of the grid. But we do have all you might need: water, electricity, internet, and all the commodities a house needs.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Besides taking good care of the animals and property, you should own driving licence and be able to drive a manual gear car. So you can be mobile to go shopping, to the beach, just a get a coffe (you get the idea), or if one of our animals needs a vet you can take them there.

Peaceful little paradise
I had a truly amazing time at the place of Fabian and his wife, Margarida. Their animals are very nice! The dogs are so calm and friendly! All three - I already miss them a lot. The cats are also sweet and friendly, same as the goats. It was my first time taking care of goats, but Fabian and Margarida explained everything very well and the goats are so sweet and tamed! I could also always count on the help of Fabian's parents and sister who live in the nearest town. We were in touch all the time and I could write Margarida with any question. All was as we agreed. The house is very spacious and comfortable, internet works well. Fabian and Margarida are very relaxed and they made me feel comfortable. Their lovely place is off the grid, but I liked that - quiet nights with no car noise, under a sky full of stars. Is so peaceful place with beautiful landscape. Little sweet paradise with such lovely company of friendly pets. I had a really great time and I hope we will stay friends and meet again. Thank you!
