They have 3 testimonial s (view below)
They have WIFI
Dependable sitters who may want to spend two weeks in the sun now and then.
I live in a beautiful finca in a small mountain hamlet. My car may be available for part of the time but transport is needed as the finca is about 20mins drive to the nearest pueblo blanco. Over the 10 years I've lived here many cats have arrived. My dog was found as a tiny puppy on the mountainside. He is now ten years old. He is friendly but needs minders who are gentle but firm.... So, you must love cats and dogs! I never need house minders during the summer months of June, July and August.
Check there is always dry food and water for the cats. Each day they have a treat of a spoonful of raw liver or a prawn or some raw food. Check morning and evening they are all present and healthy.
My dog is fed once or twice a day and has a 15 min walk morning and evening. He is brushed after his morning walk then has a treat. On the walk we feed some stray cats with dry food.
Apart from that just check all is OK in and around the house, maybe some watering if the weather is dry. Some weeding of the path would be nice.Pets can be left for about 5 to 6 hours as they have outside space so there is lots of time for exploring.
Barranco del Sol is a mountain hamlet 20 mins drive from Almogia a pueblo blanco with shops, bars and 24 hour medical facilities. It is a great community with a few non Spanish residents. 20km from Malaga which offers so much culture. 45mins from the coast. Great views and walks. Pool and BBQ area. Wifi. Peace, realaxation, donkeys and goats
This is "real" Spain with no frills. There is a "travelling" shop which brings supplies each day but you have to drive 20 mins to a supermarket. You need transport and to feel comfortable in the mountains. This is a small and friendly community so any Spanish you try will be appreciated by them. You really do need to love cats and dogs. I don’t want sitters who are so focused on their internet work and social media that my pets come second.
We sitted Christine`s house, dog and 21 cats in May this year. Christine is a really friendly and caring person, which made us feel very welcome. She picked us up from the airport, she explained us everything very well, and she even invited us for diner. Also she left everything prepared for the animals. During her absence we always could contact her in the case that we had questions. The house and the environment are amazing. There is a lot to see and to do (walks in the lovely neighbourhood of the house, visit the beach or one of the beautiful villages nearby). The animals are lovely and even if there are a lot of cats, it was not so much work to look after them. We enjoyed a lot our time and recommend this house sit warmly. Thank you Christine.
I had great time with Christine before she left and later on with furry crew of cats and Bager the water dog. Very peaceful area with fantastic views, nice paths to walk around, very comfortable and cosy cottage for sitter with all amenities including WiFi and tv. Cats are lovely and playful. Christine is very helpful and nice person to spend time with, I had pleasure to meet a few of her friends as well. I hope to return here some time again.
Christine is a friendly lady who is retired senior homeopathist. She lives remotely in a villa on the outskirts of a small Spanish village. It is a lovely location with rural views and easy walks. In the casita, we had our own bedroom and living room (under) with an efficient multi fuel stove - also a self contained kitchen and an internet TV. This assignment will only suit someone who has an special love for cats! - Badger the friendly, rescued, dog requires firm handling to show him who is in charge! This assignment is not a 'walk in the park' if done properly. - There is a strict routine that must be adherd to. There is lots to do for people who like to garden and do some general maintenance. Once done, however, there is a lot to be enjoyed from this private property - an afternoon's barbecue, top up the vitamin D and to wallow in the lovely large swimming pool.
