About this assignment
Someone to love my golden retriever boy Humphrey and Bernese Mountain Dog Watson, and 1 boy cat Pippin. There are two small fishponds with fish. Heron permitting.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Keeping my boys happy whilst We are on holiday. Keeping our house tidy and safe. Plenty of gardening if interested. Close to beautiful Dartmoor and Morwellam Quay.
What are the good features of the property and location
Victorian house in 17 acres. Close to Tavistock, Devon. Lots of woodland walks. Tesco deliver. Fibre broadband . Need car due to rural location. Neighbour has horses. 15 minutes to Tavistock and shops.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Car needed due to rural location and no local shops or eateries.
Tavistock has Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl. Some nice pubs and restaurants within 10 minutes drive.
Can I bring my own pets?

Enjoyable and comfortable house/pet sit.
Four individual and affectionate dogs, two independent cats and an assortment of Ducks and Geese all in a beautiful setting of North Devon. Add to that frequent visits of wild Deer, an animal lovers paradise. Very hospitable and friendly hosts supplying comprehensive information and luxurious accommodation. All in all a very enjoyable assignment. Thanks is in order for the opportunity.

Beautiful property in gorgeous Devon countryside
We spent three weeks looking after Jasper, Duke and Watson (along with the two cats, Pippin and Tigger) at Kerstin & Sean's lovely period property. Both the house and pets were full of character and we were made to feel extremely welcome by Kerstin from the moment we drove up the gravel drive. Lots to see in the area. Although this being rural Devon, you'll need to be confident about reversing your car on narrow and winding country lanes to avoid oncoming traffic! Highly recommended and we'll be returning for sure.

A wonderful week with the "Langdon zoo"
We had such a lovely time at this amazing house with the wonderful pets. Jasper and Duke (and dear old Bosun the first time round) were an absolute delight to spend time with. Duke kept us on our toes and laughing and his funny puppy ways and Jasper is such a patient big brother to him!! Tigger and Pippin were affectionate and great company. They just wanted to come with you everywhere. Most days I had them all come for a walk with me around the fields. I'm sad we didn't see Bonnie and Clyde's eggs hatch but I spent hours watching them on the pond. Kerstin and Shaun are welcoming and friendly. We're really thankful that we got to meet them and fear we may have been thoroughly spoilt for our first house sit. The bar is set pretty high now!!

House & Pet sit in Cornwall
We recently completed a 3-week house/pet sit for Kirsten at her barn house in Launceston, Cornwall. The two Golden Retrievers, Jason & Bosun, were an absolute pleasure to look after, very laid back & friendly. The two cats were also no trouble & we became friends almost immediately. The house was about 2-3 miles from the nearest shops, so shopping was easy. The house itself had all the mod cons to make life enjoyable. The only problem was the weather, more rainy days than dry ones - Wellington Boots were a necessity. If asked, we would go back again, hopefully to better weather.

Two lovely Retrievers and a joy to look after. Nice house with plenty of exercise area for the dogs. Good location for visiting Cornwall and Devon beauty spots. Recommend this sit to anyone. Pleasant sit.

Wonderful stay!
Our time at Kerstin & Sean's was great. We felt welcome the minute we walked through the door and enjoyed getting to know them for a couple of nights before they left - this was also a good opportunity to go through feeding routines, housekeeping etc. Kerstin left helpful, detailed instructions. The dogs and cats were a joy - very affectionate and content. The local town has plenty of history and is a great place to base yourself while seeing Devon and Cornwall. This was our first experience through MindMyHouse and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

House sit Launceston UK
We stayed in Kerstin's home in June 2017 for a long weekend to mind her 2 golden retrievers and 2 cats. Kerstin was very friendly and welcoming, and her home is clean and comfortable. She left clear instructions on how to care for the animals and the house. The dogs are affectionate and easy to care for. We walked them twice daily and the cats came too which was fun. Launceston is an interesting town set in beautiful countryside. We enjoyed our house sit for Kerstin and would be happy to assist again.

Our House and Pet-Sit for Kerstin.... Painless and a pleasure....
What an excellent couple of weeks we spent looking after Bosun and Jasper, the Golden Retrievers and Tigger and Pippen the cats. The dogs were friendly and easy to care for, particularly enjoyed daily walks with us - often with one or both cats - to the amusement of passers-by. The house was warm, spacious and comfortable with all mod cons. We are happy to highly recommend this placement to any prospective sitters. We will certainly be happy to be re-invited to Kerstin and Sean's home to look after their pets in the future.. Nice people, nice pets, nice home, nice location! No-brainer!

Lovely home owner’s and great place to stay.
We had a fabulous time at Sean & Kerstin’s converted barn in Cornwall. It was a lovely home, with all the facilities you could need. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Sean but Kerstin was very helpful with instructions for house & animals and ideas for things to do, places to go. Their two dogs, Bowson & Jasper are adorable & a pleasure to be with as are the two cats Pipin & Tigger. Kerstin was great, she made us feel totally at home & even cooked us a lovely dinner on the day we arrived. We couldn’t of asked for more & wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend them.
