1 black labrador puppy bitch.4 months old
I am looking for a kind caring person(s)
to look after a 4month old Labrador puppy bitch. to feed ,exercise , short outings . We have a large garden so just be out with her at fairly regular intervals. she should be house trained by then but would need quite a bit of companionship. She will have a cage , so she could be left for a few hours. And I do have people around who could probably help for a few hours some days.
Just to care for the dog , water and feed x3 a day. Maybe a short walk on a lead !
If interested in gardening - always a bit of that to do.
It is a large comfortable peaceful house set in its own grounds of 2.5 acres on the edge of a village with shop, pharmacy and a pub !and good transport to Edinburgh . A good sized garden We have a pellet burner , so the house is warm and an Aga in the kitchen so nice and cosy. A wood burning stove in the sitting room
There is good wi-fi in the house
Near train station and bus stops .
A car although useful - is not essential
To be trustworthy and considerate, be comfortable living in an older house and have experience with dogs , enjoy the outdoors and only non-smokers please. If interested in some simple gardening - that would be good.

Christmas in Kirknewton
We spent a very cosy Christmas in Kirknewton with the lovely Bodhi for company. She was very easy to care for with a gentle nature. She could only manage short walks at the time but enjoyed being out and off the lead, and there were parks and green spaces nearby or a short drive away. We were warmly welcomed by Jill and Hugh into their home, and left clear instructions with regards Bodhi and the property. We were also permitted to stay on to celebrate Hogmanay in Edinburgh which we much appreciated. We'd be very happy to return to see lovely Bodhi again and hopefully explore more of the wider area. Best wishes from us both.

Lovely dog, house and garden
We house and dog sat for Jill and Hugh for a week this September. We received a great welcome and were given good instructions. Bodhi, the dog, was easy to look after and had such a lovely temperament. The garden is wonderful and you feel as though you are in the countryside and away from it all. Only 25 minutes on the train from Edinburgh so the best of both worlds. Thanks Jill and Hugh

10 days in edinburgh
This was our first assignment as sitters and we had a wonderful experience. Jill and Hugh were very welcoming and showed us where everything was before they left. They also left us a list of contact numbers and clear instructions about feeding the dogs and their routine and ideas for walks. The dogs are adorable and very well trained and easy to look after. We were given a lovely bedroom with ensuite and were very comfortable. The house is about 10 miles south of edinburgh and there is a train station less than 5 minutes walk from the house with direct trains into edinburgh.

Magical Owners, Dogs and House!
Jill & Hugh made us very welcome as soon as we arrived. They were very helpful and we had everything we needed. The two gorgeous black labradors, Clio and Bhodi, are truly a joy to care for. Very obedient to whistle AND treats!!!! They were great fun to take walking/running over the hills. We loved being with them. Altogether a magical Christmas and New Year House Sitting Assignment. Thank you Jill & Hugh. John & Annie Campbell
