About this assignment
We are looking for a responsible house sitter who likes dogs an outdoor life in nature who'll be happy to stay in our fully equiped caravan while we are away through july and August. There is also an outdoor kitchen and a big conservatory with a sofa and dining table and chairs. Ideal for one or two people.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
-water the plants
-look after 2 lovely and sweet natured dogs: mixed masftiff labrador, and mixed belgian shepperd
-tend 1 chicken ;-) and eat the eggs laid by it on a daily basis or give them away if you are a vegan :-)
What are the good features of the property and location
We live just outside town, it'll take you 15 min to get to the main square. MONTBLANc has 7500 inhabitants but being national heritage is a very touristy an lively city. There is a cinema. there are different associations you can join...human towers, climbing, painting, chess, traditional dance, choir singing, rock climbing...there are gyms for fitness, yoga, belly dancing, public outdoor swimming pool...
Tarragona beach is only 40 min away and Barcelona is 1'5- 2 hours away on public transport which is free at least till 2023!!. Natural environment is great too.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Accomodation involves sleeping in a fully equiped shaded caravan and access to another conservatory with dining table and sofas and a fully equiped kitchen with a fridge, washing machine, hot water and all the kitchen utensiles. We are flexibles with dates by 1-2 days at both ends. We must leave on the 2nd of July at the latest!
Montblanc is 450 m above sea level therefore although in summer it's hot during the day the nights are mild and fresh.
There is a fantastic public swimmning pool in MOntblanc with beautiful green areas.
Can I bring my own pets?

Hola, La experiencia en Montblanc, con Nuria, Miquel, sus hijos Joel y Aleix, y sus perros Braun y Nero (sin olvidarme de las 4 gallinas y los 2 agapornis), me encantó. Las rutinas diarias de ir a ver a las gallinitas y cuidar de Braun y Nero cuando la familia estaba de viaje han sido labores muy reconfortantes, especialmente con Braun y Nero establecimos un vínculo que más que cariño, para mí fue de mucho amor, porque son animales extremadamente buenos y cariñosos… tras este tiempo aún los recuerdo y a veces los echo de menos, pues se hacen mucho de querer, lo cual, sin duda es porque su familia humana les trata muy pero que muy bien. Los trabajos de intercambio que realicé también fueron justos y finalmente todos quedamos satisfechos y en realidad me sentí útil y completé mis tiempos vacíos. Montblanc es un pueblo tranquilo con la suficiente “vidilla” para establecer relaciones sociales para quien esté interesado en ello; por mi parte, disfruté de sus murallas, sus calles empedradas, sus buenos productos locales y del mercado de los viernes, pero sobre todo del cielo abierto y la tranquilidad del espacio que Nuria y Miquel tienen destinado para el cuidador/a, que es una cómoda caravana, un amplio baño y una cocina funcional que están afuera, así que bajo una acogedora higuera pasé fresquita las horas de calor. La comunicación con Nuria y Miquel fue muy buena y cada vez que había que comentar algo, ellos estaban presentes, por ejemplo, cuando los perritos tuvieron problemillas de salud a causa del calor y travesuras que a Braun le supusieron una ida al veterinario, pero se les quiere tanto que me sentí realmente útil, lo cual es para mí uno de los factores que contribuye a que el/la cuidador/a se sienta también satisfecho. En definitiva, de mi parte, esta experiencia es totalmente aconsejable para cualquiera y espero que, si podemos, la volvamos a repetir en otro momento.

Such a beautiful experience in the Nuria and Miquel's place!
I spend 3 beautiful months living in their place with Nero and Braun, 2 chickens and 2 agapornis. The environment is so wonderful that you can blossom, I even used that time to do a few liver cleanses. The Nuria and Miquel's family is definitely amazing, caring and lovely. They were very considering and nice with me. No complain at all and hoping I have the opportunity to housesit again there!!!

Calm and relaxed house sitting with Uma, Brown and Nero
Nuria and Miquel are very friendly and did their best to make me feel at home and provide all the information needed to take care of Uma, Brown and Nero, and the property. The dogs Uma, Brown and Nero share this friendliness. They will compete for your attention if they can but are a joy to be around, and can certainly be left to themselves for a while. Be careful with letting Nero unleashed near a gate you're about to open. He's incredibly relaxed and friendly, but will stretch his legs for a sprint out. Going after him will only turn it into a race you will lose :). The stay itself was in a caravan next to the house, with the availability of a small basic kitchenette. There is (not always stable) internet and a nice breeze in the conservatory next to the house. The location is near the small historical town of Montblanc. In itself beautiful, a thing to keep in mind is that social options may be a bit limited. There are some festivals on through Summer, but not every weekend. The flipside of the coin is that it's right on the border of the Muntanyes de Prades, which for outdoorsy people should offer a little paradise of hiking and gorgeous nature. If you're into running, you're in luck that Brown will keep you fired up during joint escapades in the hills. There are a couple of options for cultural explorations in the area as well, which Nuria will certainly detail to you. Thanks, Nuria and Miquel, for reaching out, and the relaxed stay in Montblanc. We'll see each other in our paella market stand in Northern Europe :).

We stayed in their lovely house for a week, looking after their dogs who were very easy to care for; we just had to feed them and let them out of their enclosure to run around the field. We did a bit of gardening as well. The family; Nuria, Miquel, and their boys Joel and Aleish, were delightful, very friendly and hospitable, and we hope to have the opportunity to return there one day. The town of Mont Blanc is a 10 minute walk from their house and is a lovely place to go and sit in the square for a coffee. We would definitely recommend this house sit as a great place to go.

Very nice family, great time, good experience and amazing dogs
House sitting in the house of Nuria and Miguel was one best summer times for me and my family, which we ever had. Nuria, Miguel and their children is very nice family - friendly, hospitable and helpful. We enjoyed spending time together and are happy to stay in touch with them. 3 their dogs are very kind, funny and not problematic at all, even for my 8 year-old son. We liked looking after them. The van and all the facilities for a living, which were given to us, were higher than we expected to have: own territory, kitchen and kitchen stuff, shower and toilet, washing machine, fridge, drinking and hot water, towels, linens... The tasks, which we were expected to do, were not difficult at all, but rather pleasant. Nuria and Miguel were very flexible and loyal to our schedule. We extremely enjoyed the location of the house, the town, the region and discovered Catalonia from its very best side. We were in love with nature, history, culture, food, people... Moreover Montblanc has great location and good infrastructure. Nuria and Miguel helped us a lot to see many beautiful hidden places of the region. We wish every success to this wonderful family and would be definitely happy to see them again one day.

House sit Mont blanc
I house sat for Nuria for 3 weeks.It was a very easy house sit as the dogs are lovely ,loyal and affectionate.The house is close to a small village with supermarkets,cafes ,bars so not having transport is not too much of an issue. Nuria is very kind and generous and does her best to make sure that you feel welcome

Beautiful Mountain Location.
We had a lovely time here in this beautiful area of Catalonia. We had the chance to spend a few days with Nuria, Miguel & family before they left and they were very friendly and accommodating. They were also very helpful with information on the local area and it is very good for those who enjoy the mountains and countryside. Beautiful beaches approximately 30 mins away(sometimes essential in the August heat). The house is located only 10-15 mins walk from the small historic town of Montblanc which has everything and the dogs were very easy and a pleasure to look after. Excellent all round.

The Great Escape
A lovely couple who made us feel very welcome. A few issues with being cold and the water not working but Nuria quickly helped us sort them out. House sitting for five weeks for the most amazing family
What a beautiful family. We stayed at Nuria and Miguel's house for five weeks. My wife and I were given a separate suite to live in that was equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. We were asked to do some yard work and to look after three of the most amazing dogs while they were away. The area around Mont Blanc is great for walking and hiking; something we took advantage of everyday. Our experience with this family was unforgettable and the hardest part of the entire assignment was saying goodbye to these wonderful dogs (Uma, Nero, and Brown). Josh and Lindsay

Nuria & Miguel are wonderful friendly people, their dogs are absolutely adorable, and the local town is charming. We would not hesitate to house sit here again if our dates matched, we miss the dogs very much. Nuria speaks perfect English and cooks the most delicious food. There are lots of good walks to do straight from the property. There is a beautiful medieval part to the town and plenty of choice of supermarkets. We had a very pleasant stay here and are pleased we had a chance to socialise with Nuria & Miguel. They are both very interesting to talk to and warm and welcoming.
