6 cats; Ginge, Miss Mya, Madam, Kimchi, Stinky and Wilma
Hi - We are a family of 4 who are heading off for a big trip this Christmas and New Year and are looking for someone or two to house sit and look after our collection of 6 cats. Looking for all the usual qualities - reliable, responsible, trustworthy, tidy etc and nice to our neighbours. The cats are well behaved (mostly) friendly and have access to outdoors. Being familiar with cats and thus prepared to deal with the possible odd dead thing would be advantageous!
We have had house sitters for many years now so know the ropes. Fast broadband if you need to work from home and subscription TV channels.
Feeding pets. Cats have a catflap so come and go and require feeding twice a day and attention/affection upon request. One requires daily medication which goes in his breakfast Collection of indoor plants to water once a week, otherwise it's just plain house sitting!
A large 5 bedroom house with lovely garden and parking on drive if you have a car(s). Sitters would have the top floor guest suite inc large bathroom. Bromley is an outer London borough which means it's nice and green with good transport links. Our house is situated 10 minutes walk into town, 2 minutes from local shops, cafes and take-away and is 7 mins walk from the railway station with 4 trains an hour into central London (25 mins). Alternatively 15 mins from the M25 and an hour to the Kent Coast or Sussex makes this an ideal base for exploring with all the comforts of home.
We would need you to arrive from Friday 18th December and stay until Tuesday 12th January and you are welcome to arrive early/depart later to fit your dates.
You will need to be a non smoker and experienced house sitters (with references) preferred. We can provide testimonials from our previous House sitters if you require these.
No, sorry.

Jo and Tim's clouder
Although I have lived in London for many years, Bromley was an area I have not deeply explored before, so this was a good opportunity. The weather was nice in the middle of the summer, and the house was cool and relaxing. The cats were easy to take care of, they were pretty much coming round just for food on demand. Except Ginger who found any ocassion to lat next to me - so loveable. The garden was low maintenance over the few weeks I was in, so I only had to maintain the flowers in the house watered and happy - Jo has a great collection qnd they're all lush and healthy. My stay was overshadowed by my car being broken into - there was nothing to steal, but they did leave the lights on so the battery died. If you do go by car to Jo and Tim's, make sure to take all valuables out of the car, and maybe even leave some stuff thrown around for it too look messy.

Lovely House Sitting Experience
We took care of Jo and Tim's spacious home, four cats and one fish over the Christmas and New Year holidays and had a wonderful time! Jo and Tim were very gracious and hospitable, explaining how the appliances operated, showing us the local shops, train station, and bus stops, and taking us grocery shopping before they left. The cats were charming and entertaining, and our third-floor guest room was large and comfortable. Bromley is only about 25 minutes by train into London and we were able to do lots of sightseeing without having a car. The Green Chain walking path also provided lots of opportunities to explore the area. Jo left detailed instructions and was very accessible when a few issues came up. Jo and Tim and their boys are a delightful family, and we were grateful to have met them and cared for their home!

Very friendly
Jo and Tim are very friendly and easy going people and we would not hesitate to sit for them again. There cat P.G is adorable and the Guinea pigs are friendly and cuddly. The fish were no trouble at all :p Everything is accessible from their house: supermarket, takeaways, buses, trains, the town centre. The neighbours are pleasant and the house and garden are tidy and very comfortable. There are many books to read, t.v and wifi and places to walk from the house. Central london is easily reached if you enjoy cities.
