A couple or single person to look after this lovely farm house for 2 or more months and enjoy it. I want to find someone totally reliable, who would make this their base for some or all of March/April/May 2019 and take on the role of gardien. It would appeal to a Francophile, who wants a quiet but not isolated retreat for relaxing, painting, writing and who can manage simple (or advanced!) garden maintenance. The grass will need cutting once it starts to grow and a ride-on mower is available as well as much encouragement for any other interests.
There are two houses: the main farm house and an adjacent cottage. You are welcome to use the spacious but cosy cottage (pictured). It has a large ground floor living room with kitchen, two first floor bedrooms with their own en suites, double glazed, central heating and wood burning stove. It is private, even when someone (mostly just me!) is in the main house.
This is a no cash contract. You have exclusive use of the cottage, keep an eye on the place and are prepared to offer less than one day per week to minor maintenance/repairs, garden and checking the swimming pool. You can enjoy visiting SW France and I have peace of mind that someone is in the house while I'm absent. Heating and electricity costs are yours. Wifi and UK TV channels are provided and phone is available, if required.
This could become a repeat/regular arrangement for the right person/couple.
Keep the cottage clean;
Gardening: cut grass/shrubs, but there is a visiting gardener who does major maintenance;
Check on Main House, water plants in conservatory [Mme L visits the main house once per fortnight for cleaning]
Check pool (ticking over in Winter but since it is covered, it is often usable from April);
Discourage unwanted visiting wild-life.

By arrangement, to take me to and collect me from Bergerac airport when I visit (about every six weeks)
