Cat sitters required in Calvados region of Normandy

About this assignment

We're looking for a reliable, responsible, cat-loving person /people to care for our 2 good-natured cats, Marmalade and Grizelda (Grizzie), while we're away for about 10 days in November 2026.* You must be non-smokers, have references and bring no pets of your own.
*Dates not fixed yet, but will include 15 -17

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The most important things are that the cats are well cared for and that you enjoy your stay in our home.
Marmie needs medecine twice a day, put on his food. (Since he's greedy, there's no problem!)

What are the good features of the property and location

We've recently moved to Ouistreham, the port of Caen. Our house is a short walk from the port. We're less than 10 minutes' walk from our nearest small supermarket and the same distance from a good range of restaurants. We're in a quiet avenue, and have off-road parking.There is a frequent bus service into the city of Caen (about 20 minutes)
The D-Day landing beach (Sword) is 10 minutes' (!) walk from us. The interesting towns of Trouville and Deauville are short drive away.
Our house has 2 bedrooms upstairs with 2 shower rooms (1 on each floor) and a lounge-diner,the library on the ground floor has a bed-settee.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Your own transport would be useful, but not absolutely necessary, as Caen is a hub for a buses and trains.
Our dates are flexible between the 10 and 20th November 2026.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
