About this assignment
A dog lover to care for our 2 Labradors blonde aged 6 and black aged 4. We have had several house sitters and we have had very happy experiences. Our dates are flexible
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Walk the dogs daily. There are nice walking areas from right outside the house. We also take them to the beach 3 or 4 times a week if you like you can do the same we will leave you our car a Honda CRV.
What are the good features of the property and location
Large house on 1.5 acres 2 km to nearest small shopping centre. House in a cul-de sac. Has 15m heated pool and big new kitchen and recently renovated 4 bathrooms. There is a large covered patio where we often sit to watch the sunset and a smaller patio for breakfast coffee. We have a separate music room and a grand piano in the lounge if you like to play. The house is large with many rooms
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
2km to M1 so easy access. Mid way between Gold Coast and Brisbane. Nearest beach is 11km on quiet road. Palm beach is 35 minutes, our favourite. Surfer's Paradise is a bit less. Theme Parks are about 12km. We are keen theatre and music fans and HOTA in Gold Coast and QPAC in Brisbane have many shows and concerts. The new Pimpama Olympic pool is nearby.

Amazing time in Australia!.....
I had the pleasure of caring for Daisy and Poppy just outside of Brisbane. Lovely, friendly and engaging dogs that I miss to this day. The hosts, Michael and Chris, couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating, and their Aussie hospitality was much appreciated. The very well appointed home made for a luxurious stay. From the lap pool, giant yard and greenhouse, to the grand piano and music room, all in a quiet cul-de-sac. I couldn't recommend this assignment more highly to anyone lucky enough to come across it. Housesitting with Poppy & Daisy
Michael and Christine were wonderful hosts. They showed us all of their favorite places to take Poppy & Daisy around the Gold Coast, from the beach, the neighborhood, and their favorite cafes to sit with the dogs. They made us feel very welcomed and at home by giving us the home tour of all of the fruit trees, potted plants, flowers, and the best part was the heated backyard lap pool! Michael and Christine were great about keeping in contact with us the whole house sit in case we had any questions about anything. They also loved getting pictures of the dogs while they were on their travels. Poppy & Daisy were a joy to be around. They are 2 super sweet Labs who love to play ball as long as you are willing! They have kibble and cooked veggies every night. They know when you are cooking veggies for them, and sit right under/on your feet. They both have different personalities as Daisy is a true retriever and Poppy can be a bit mischievous at times. If you love to be outdoors, play ball, and have 2 very sweet companions, I highly recommend this house sit.

Awesome Australia!
I spent a month caring for Mike & Chris's home and pets in Australia. The home and grounds are spacious, luxurious, and well appointed in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood. The area near Gold Coast offered everything from a leash free and surfers beach to rainforest hiking and shopping, all within a 45 minute drive max. Daisy and Poppy were lovely, energetic, sweet dogs that I missed this day. Overall, an incredible, heartwarming trip that has left me with memories I won't soon forget. Thank you Mike & Chris 🙋🏻♂️❤️

Sun and space
Michael & Chris have so much energy, they put us to shame. Chris plays the piano like an angel and Michael swims daily when he's at home. Daisy and Poppy love company and attention and will accompany you anywhere you'd like to explore. Because we're not early birds, their routine was altered somewhat but they accepted us lovingly and put up with us taking them for walks and swims in strange places at any time of day. There are lots of places to explore, but you must be comfortable with freeways as you will have to drive to get around. The local shops and pub are really handy and you can walk for miles from your home base.

Very comfortable sit in good location
I stayed here with 3 lovely labradors in December 16. The house is very comfortable and the neighbours friendly and helpful. Mike and Chris made sure I had a good introduction to the dogs and their house and left plenty of information for me should I have needed any assistance. The neighbourhood is quiet and the local shopping centre is a short distance away. The dogs are well trained, a pleasure to walk and the gardens are big enough for them to work off any excess energy. I'd recommend this sit to anyone, although you need to be comfortable with walking three large dogs together.
